- 8 oz. (250g.) self raising flour (sifted with a pinch of salt)
- 4 oz. (125g.) butter
- 4 oz. (125g.) castor sugar
- 2 oz. (60g.) ground almonds
- 3 eggs (beaten)
- 2 dsp. grated chocolate (diluted in a little milk)
- a little milk
- Rub butter into flour until it resembles breadcrumbs.
- Add sugar and almond to it and mix well.
- Ass beaten eggs and dissolved chocolate. Mix well.
- Add more milk if necessary to get a dropping consistency.
- Place in a lined patty tins and bake in a preheated hot oven at 400°F for 20 mins.
- Remove cakes from oven and cool on a wire tray.
